Leo Minor

Leo Minor is a Northern Hemisphere constellation otherwise known as the Lesser Lion. It is one of seven constellations introduced by the 17th century astronomer Johannes Hevelius (Wikipedia) and published in Firmamentum Sobiescianum sive Uranographia in 1687. Leo Minor remains one of the 88 modern constellations defined by the International Astronomical Union (Wikipedia).

Leo Minor (abbrev. = LMi; genitive = Leonis Minoris) covers 232 square degrees or 0.56% of the celestial sphere making it the 64th largest constellation. It contains 37 stars brighter than apparent magnitude 6.5, the brightest star being 46 Leonis Minoris.
